    2. TIPP safety survey and education to alert you to possible safety risks to your child.
    3. ELMS language assessments to help you provide early language intervention and opportunities for your child.
    4. Emotional and behavioral assessments along with encouragement ideas and information to make home-life more enjoyable.
    5. Prenatal information – Nurses will help you prepare for the birth of your baby and promote a healthier lifestyle during your pregnancy.

    Healthy Beginnings Provides:

    • Suggestions for positive expectations & limits. 
    • Prenatal parenting education 
    • Child health and developmental assessments by nurses.
    • Linkages with other providers and referrals

    Parenting Tips:

    • Remember – “Back to Sleep” to avoid SIDS.
    • Keep immunizations up-to-date.
    • Keep child safety seat rear-facing as long as seat allows – around 30 lbs. Switch to forward facing and ride in a restraint until 80 lbs.
    • Begin regular dental visits at one year.
    • Read and play with your child daily.
    • Hug your child and say “I love you” often.

    Remember . . . you are constantly teaching and your children are constantly learning.
