Volunteer Information
The Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital Auxiliary was established in 1953. Many changes have occurred but there is still a great need for volunteers.
Volunteer Mission
Our mission is to promote and advance the welfare of the Hospital through ways approved by the Board of Trustees. No member of this Auxiliary shall take the place of a paid employee. All work shall be on a volunteer basis.
Requirements/Benefits
You, too, can be one of Mary Lanning's 250 active volunteers. A volunteer is asked to complete two 3 to 4 hour shifts a month. One can receive many benefits from being a volunteer, such as discounts at the hospital cafeteria and health club. A volunteer may receive a free flu shot yearly and an invitation to a wonderful luncheon provided by the Hospital Board of Trustees. The Auxiliary provides well over 20 services for the hospital. Some of which include receptionists, gift shop and snack bar attendant, office help, escort service, coffee delivery, watering flowers, decorating and helping with the Health Fair and blood mobile.
Junior Volunteers
A summer program is offered for boys and girls between the ages of 12 to 18. Our Junior Volunteers are provided with an overview of the hospital and medical environment for those interested in the medical profession.
