Education Required:	Graduate of nursing from an accredited college, university or approved school of nursing required. Maintains competencies required for profession or position.
License(s) Required:	Current registered nursing (RN) license from the State of Nebraska. BLS is required and ACLS is preferred.
Experience:	Experience Preferred.
Duties of this job:	DUTIES INCLUDE: Advocating for patient during surgical procedure; following standard procedures and aseptic principles of practice for surgical interventions; ensuring safety of patient during surgical procedure; documenting and maintaining accurate OR nursing records; identifying, labeling, and dispensing medications and solutions safely; and assisting anesthesia as requested. Successful applicant must be assertive and able to work independently and at a fast pace. Motivation, with attention to detail is required. EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY: Participation in a comprehensive on-line didactive education curriculum will be offered to employees. Upon successful completion they receive 40 hours of CEUs and a one year membership to AORN.
