Education or Experience

One to three months related experience and / or training preferred.  Must be at least 18 years old to work in Caring Hands.  Reliable transportation and car insurance is required.

Briefly describe the duties of this job.

Works under close supervision while providing patient care and Homemaker duties in patient’s home.  Includes assisting with patient activities of daily living and monitoring of condition, documentation of care activities, and other support services that assist the patient and family in the achievement of physical and emotional comfort.  Communicates with patient/family to ensure appropriate care and services.  Must be able to recognize emergency situations and implement appropriate emergency procedures as needed.  Performs homemaking and other environmental services that facilitate receiving sanitary and safe care at home.

All activities are performed under the direction of a Registered Nurse following MLMH patient care standards.
