Experience?

Six to ten years of experience required.  Must have general knowledge of local codes and building regulations; heating, refrigeration, ventilating, air, gas and vacuum systems, boilers, chillers and other plant equipment; plumbing and mechanical repairs, electrical safety inspections, minor carpentry repairs; able to locate items on blue prints, shop drawings, etc.    Prefer experience in commercial arena that would be reflective to the healthcare environment.

Briefly describe the duties of this job.

Performs urgent corrective, routine and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems, and other routine and requisitioned repairs as required.  Performs preventive maintenance inspections and minor repairs on hospital building and equipment.  Removes snow from walks/parking lots.  Maintains inventory of supplies and materials as needed.  Performs other duties as assigned.
