36 hours per week; three 12 hour shifts

Varies, with weekend rotation

6 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. (Night shift)
6 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Day shift)

Education/Degree Required?

 

Either graduate Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or graduate Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRT) of an American Medical Association approved Respiratory Care Program.  Maintains competencies required for position.

 

License(s) Required?

 

Current license to practice respiratory care (LRCP) from the State of Nebraska.

Either RRT or CRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).

BLS/ACLS/NRP certification.

 

Education or Experience?

One to two years related experience and/or training preferred, but a new graduate would be eligible for hire.

 

Briefly describe the duties of this job.

Works under general supervision while delivering respiratory care and life support to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system.  Applies the principles of growth and development to the care of all ages of patients from infants to elderly.
