Experience?

1-2 years related experience in security preferred.

Briefly describe the duties of this job.

Must be able to work shifts without interruption and have the stamina and physical conditioning to encounter difficult situations involving confrontations with patients or visitors who may need to be subdued.  Also, physical energy to respond to emergency or crisis situations.

Patrols the building and grounds, escorts visitors and staff to cars as requested to ensure safety, investigates suspicious behavior, and assures doors are secured.

Complies with hospital/departmental safety policies and procedures.  Responsible to help ensure that the safety and physical well being of patients, visitors, physicians and employees is maintained.

Must have excellent work references and employment history.  Criminal background checks and drug screening required.
